Before Installation

Porto uses the latest technologies to offer the best web experience for the users. Following MIME Types must be configured to be able to use icons or play videos.

Please ask your hosting company or web administrator to add the following MIME Types:

  1. Description: Allows playback of MP4 Videos
  2. Extension: .mp4
  3. Type: video/mp4
  4. Description: Allows server side support for custom fonts
  5. Extension: .woff
  6. Type: font/x-woff
  7. Extension: .woff2
  8. Type: application/font-woff2
  9. Note : Make sure If you are using <module runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"> in web.config then remove (runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true")

If you are the web administrator and managing the server then please refer to instructions below:

 

IIS 7.0 

 

Step 1

Open IIS Manager and navigate to the level you want to manage.

Step 2

In Features View, double-click MIME Types.

Step 3

In the Actions pane, click Add.

Step 4

In the Add MIME Type dialog box, add appropriate File name extension.

Step 5

In the MIME type box, add appropriate MIME type.

Step 6

Click OK.

 

For DNN 8.x

 

Ckeditor automatically updates couple of shortcodes. Please follow the below steps to avoid it. 

Host > HTML Editor Manager > Editor Config > ProtectedSource > Add (/<span id[\s\S]*?>[\s\S]*?<\/span>/gi), (/<span class[\s\S]*?>[\s\S]*?<\/span>/gi) > Save

 

For DNN 9.x or above

 

Persona Bar > Settings > Site Settings > Site Behavior > More > HTML Editor Manager > Editor Config > ProtectedSource > Add (/<span id[\s\S]*?>[\s\S]*?<\/span>/gi), (/<span class[\s\S]*?>[\s\S]*?<\/span>/gi) > Save
