Configure Google Search Module

  1. Add Google Search Module to the page where you would like the search box to appear and click on Module Settings.
If you like, you configure the module to display on every page using Module's Page Settings. (You may want to use the SkinObject instead)

  2. Custom Search Engine's Unique identifier (Required) : Enter your Google CSE identifier here
  3. Search Results URL : Enter complete URL of the page where Search Results are to appear. This would be same page where you added the Google Search Result Module. If no value is specified, the module would assume that search results module is on the same page.

Alternatively, you can show the result on any page (even non-dotnetnuke page); simply enter the full url and make sure that the google javascript code exists on that page.
  4. Google Image URL : Enter the complete URL to show google image. This image is shown next to the search button. Google also allows you to show a specific image as a watermark on the textbox itself. If you would like to use the watermark image make sure "Show Image as Watermark" is checked.

Google Image URL is not required for this module to function; however, you should provide the URL to comply with Google Terms and Conditions

You can find the URL for the Google Image by looking at the Search Box code generated by google for you.
    Here's a screenshot for example:

  5. Search Button Text : Enter the text you would like to appear on the search button. Examples: Search, Find, etc...
  6. Search Box Width : Enter the width (in pixels) you desire for the search box.
  7. FORID (Required) : FORID is used to set the advertisements' position within the search results.

    FORID: 9     - Right Side
FORID: 10   - Top and Right
FORID: 11   - Top and Bottom

  8. That's it!  Click on Update and you're ready to use Google CSE
