Does the perpetual license allow me to install the purchased "unlimited installation" version on new sites after my subscription expires?

I purchased the "Ultimate" collection with a "Perpetual" license.

I was thinking I could continue to use this with client websites as long as it is the same version at the time my "subscription" for update to new versions and support expires.

I am not as interested in the support for configuration as I have generally only reported "bugs"

I just want to be clear so I understand fully.

Am I able to install the "Perpetual Licensed" Unlimited DNN installations/sites and keep using the software as intended?

Or do I need to keep a subscription alive in order to install the versions that I had "licensed" when my subscription expired.

I purchase this hoping I can continue to not just use the license on existing activated sites, but also be able to activate the modules on new sites.  Sometimes I find a site I was working on but didnt activate yet while my subscription was active, but now I cannot activate kind of throwing a wrench in the spokes of things.

This will serve as a heads up to anyone purchasing the unlimited use as there is a catch not explained fully when purchasing for first time.

The impression I had was we can use what versions we have activated on our account.

I understand to get the latest new major release (1.x  to 2.x) we would need to purchase a new subscription to allow updates.

However, if I only install on a few sites in 1 year but plan many sites with the same version we are running into this issue.  So, if this is the case can you please clarify on the website what the "Perpetual License" actually is.  You really only own it for those activated while the subscription is active.

This should be clarified if this is the case, or how I originally thought... we should be able to activate the versions purchased on new sites as we own these "Perpetual" licenses when purchased initially, we felt we should be able to continue to use them on new sites created.

Thank you.

We have exactly the same use case. We build sites for our own company, and it seems that if the server and owner are the same as when purchased, new URLs should be allowed. As I understand it, if you build a new dnn instance for an existing install, then the modules cannot be licensed, even though the 'perpetual' was thought to cover the same company, same URL, same server. The DNN instance number is being used... I assume?
