We are using the Live Visualizer module to display a list of Minutes and Agendas in a list view sorted by the date, with the most recent dated meeting first.
I know that in the visualizer settings we can filter and sort per our parameters. But what I was trying to see if it was possible was to have sort/filter options on the front end where the visualizer is displayed so a website visitor would be able to pick certain parameters. We were thinking about adding a category option within the structure and would like for the front end users to be able to select a category to filter and show only their selection.
Is this something that is possible? I was looking through the KB and did not see any references to this, only about sorting and filtering in the visualizer settings on the back end.
I agree. The module is severely limited without this. Having the same type of filtering on the front end would be a huge improvement. I ended up doing what you suggested, creating categories but this gets cumbersome.
Do you have a good example of how you made that work, I will take any ideas right now, we discussed the categories but had not played around with how it might work as a last resort. If you have any code bits that you used or screen shots of the front end, I would like to see what you came up with as a work around.
It seems like with all the capabilities of this module, and all of the filtering options on the backend there has to be others that have asked for this on the front end if it is not possible currently.
This feature has been developed and will be part of Live Visualizer 2. We don't have an ETA on official release yet as we're still adding new features.
Oooh... this is exactly what I am looking for!
