Live Articles Widget - Limit Words Not Working

I cannot get Limit Words to work. I'm using the Recent Articles widget and have tried everything I can think of. Could someone explain how this works? 

I'd like to add a snippet of an article to another page. Ideally the beginning of the main content, but a set number of words from Description or Introduction would also be OK. Just don't want to users to have to count words for Description or Introduction.

Thanks for reporting this bug. We were able to confirm it and it has been logged to be resolved in the next update. 

Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated date of resolution. We periodically review our backlog and address the issues in the order of their severity.
