Porto 6 Standard license

Hi,

recently we purchased new license for Porto 6 because of upgrade of DNN from version 8.0.4 to DNN v.9.10.2. On our old version we used Porto 3 so we had to buy license for Porto 6 (standard edition).

We managed to do the upgrade on localhost and now we should do it on out test site and after that on production site. My question is, since it's standard license, will there be a problem if we activate license on test site and after that on production site? If you understand what I mean. It's not that we activated license on localhost and than we will copy all files and database to test and production site. Is there a way to use same license key for those sites, maybe copy license file from localhost or delete license file and reload it? Database is the same, it's just on different servers for test and production.

You could activate the product on your development server. You can only transfer it to the production server if you will be copying the exact DNN Install (Files + DB) and moving it over to the production server.

If you will start with a new DNN Install on the production server then you need multiple licenses or Enterprise Edition.

You can always run unlimited dev/test servers if you're accessing them with a URL that begins with http://localhost

Ok.. But should it work if we compare database data and synchronize it? I mean, we do this when we have some updates to make in database. Files definitely will be copied. I checked in database, site ID and installation ID are the same on all servers.

You will not get any licensing issue if database, site ID and installation ID are same.
