In the Live-Slider module the user is forced to provide an absolute URL in the data field associated with a given slide. This is clearly a design and/or programming defect because it screws-up the navigation of a website moved/cloned to a new location such as localhost. Obviously, hard-coded URLs should never be used to reference resources local to a DNN instance. In my case, I want to enter a relative URL like this /immobilien but doing so displays the message "Slide #1: Please enter valid link, Link should be start with "http://" or "https://" or "//"" I am therefore blocked and have no choice but to enter an absolute URL. Not good.
I agree. I'll check with our development team if there's a reason why relative links were not supported. Otherwise, we'll support this in next update.
I am having the same issue. I have a dev site, didnt realize the links were absolute and it took me to my main site. Unaware that I wasnt in the developing environment, I started making changes to my live website. When I tried to change the links, you can only call for absolute links not relative,
