Gamification in Live Exchange and Live Forums

In Premier Support, Mandeep and I were discussing gamification in Live Exchange and Live Forums. I would really like to see that badges can also be put on a user that is a certain role like Moderator, Admin or Subscriber of some service.

This has been in making for so long. I'm happy to report that a BETA would be available in 2 weeks for those that would like to help out with reviewing the new Gamification Library.

Both Live Forums & Exchange will get major upgrades to integrate with it.

Simply let us know via Contact Us or Helpdesk if you're interested in BETA. Thanks

Thank you for the update on the long awaited gamification feature!  If I may ask what other modules may also utilize the gamification library?  I imagine possibly Live Forms/Visualizer could be next?

Live StoreFront would be eventually integrated w/Gamification. It would allow admins to rewards users by award points that could later be redeemed in Store.

Live Blog/Articles would be integrated to encourage users to blog often (award points for each new blog post or articles).

Live Forms / Visualizer can also be integrated. We can add an action such as when a user submits a form. This will allow you to build your own custom functionality.

I look forward to those as they do make sense.  Live Content for posting items and getting likes for them would be another bonus place to include.

I am not sure if there is an idea for "Reactions" for posts as well and give point or weight for different reactions to posts?  If not maybe I can make that an idea.

I wanted to react to your answer with a "Hip Hip Hooray" and users should also be able to earn some points for getting those types of reactions as well as making posts or putting up an answer. For a user making a reaction or reply I think it is at least worth a point.

Any progress on Gamification Updates?  I have been working with DNN CE devs to get the 9.2.2 release to fix registration issues which now finally looks to be resolved.  There are some other issues still at hand that may get added to this release I am hoping such as resending verification emails.   It would be nice to get the gamification going here soon as possible as I will be launching a site that is critical to these features to help promote the use of our site and help it become successful.

I would love to see ability to give points when users log in for the day, post, reply and other things that happen in DNN and Mandeeps modules to help build reputation points for community members.

I am on a shoe string budget with a sense of urgency right now as I had to really push for the registration issue to be resolved and the DNN CE devs are working round the clock it seems to really make DNN a great CMS again.

I understand a couple new products are coming out as well so I am excited to help support Mandeeps with everything I can as this is going to be a huge part of the future of my sites going forward I am hoping I will not be tempted to change over to DNN Evoq Engage later as I will be 100% in on these projects here.  I may get evoq content or basic but right now I spilled everything I have into these projects and have been set back majorly like others who moved to DNN 9.

I am hoping the dust is finally settling here and the developers for DNN CE seem to be getting a handle on all the breaking changes along with faster releases of updates with fixes and new features.  I am working on my dev IDE now as they also released videos how to work with github and DNN CE which are a major help and should help me contribute as I am an old C/php developer... I need all the help I can get to catch back up to speed here and my community sites suffered dearly.

In it for the long haul and still getting bugs worked out of mandeeps modules.  I think dust is settling here as well just waiting for next live articles to get released along with live forms 5.  I am hoping all these get put out with gamification about the same time hoping soon :)

This morning I'm looking at ways to build a leader-board from the reports module. This might be within the same scope of work you are considering for the gamification. I'm simply noting that we (at least for one) have a need to recognize contributors to pull some of their time away from their social streams.

I understand everyone is working on patches for the DNN 9 release coming.

Any hints on your production schedule so we can decide to wait (versus build on our own)?

Mandeep, what is ETA on the 'badges for roles' functionality?

Sounds like this has been put on hold as I have been pushing this for all of the Live modules for sometime now, but I am told not enough community support currently to get this off the ground anytime soon.

So to get some steam to get things rolling forward again for "Gamification" it sounds like more community support is needed.  I was hearing Q3 of this year but currently now on hold for the latest update as an FYI for anyone interested.

We're still keen for the functions. I suspect if it was available then we'd purchase another Enterprise package license. That might offset some of the development costs. Or - we'd be willing to sponsor a portion of the development if that made it happen.

We have a community of ~100 women business owners. They have little time to 'compare' scores or earn points, etc, but are always curious to see where they stand. On the other hand, I wonder if the marketplace bad tech notion has people pulling back on 'online community' - other than those of us that work online?

Just my contribution.
