PreCompile Razor Templates to Improve Initial Page Load Performance

Currently, the razor templates are compiled at run-time when these modules are accessed for the 1st time. The compilation results in few seconds delay for initial page load. Subsequent page loads are super quick since templates are then cached and available.

This feature request is to pre-compile the templates with intial DNN compilation so there is no delay in serving these modules on 1st attempt.

I see that this has been accepted. Could you provide a date of when this will be implemented?

Thank you!

I'm interested also-- Sorry but I've been told by my Admin- since I use this on a Medical University to stop using the controls until the problem is fixed.  They want me to look at commercial hosted services. Will it be fixed any time soon?

My customers are complaining and want me to find a different forum - first time load is ranging from 40-50 seconds. I just timed it and it took 48 seconds to load (our broadband speed is 37mbps download and 10mbps upload). My customers argue that they only go to the forums usually once a day so they don't care that once it loads it's fast. They just tell me they hate that it is so slow (and not useable from a phone). Looking forward to an update.

Is there any update on a completion date?  I had to show a proof of concept web site at a Medical Conference this past weekend that had 350 Cancer Center Administrators and All I heard is boy is that slow.  Maybe we should use a private area in .....  (something else)

This has been completed and we've been dogfooding/testing it on our own site for past 2 weeks. It's working great and we'll have new module releases next week.

Hate to be a pest but has this been released?

I don't mean to be a pain but what type of improvement should I see?  It is still taking over 10 seconds to load.  Should that be the benchmark?

Of course not. You can check our own site and see that the pages now load instantaneously; even on the 1st try.

How does it compare to other pages on your site? I would open a support ticket on our site so we can investigate. Thanks

I am also still having a slow load time on my customers site after installing the latest download. I haven't seen an improvement either.

We're investigating this...looks like an issue with the downloads. I'll post an update here as soon as we know more.
