Understanding Feeds Engine

Live Blog includes a powerful understanding feeds engine syndication platform. Besides the main Live Blog module feed, it can generate RSS Feeds on categories, authors, tags, archives and calendar. Optionally change the RSS output by passing a filter query parameter.

Parameters for Rss Feeds:

  1. Category - Allows you to specify Rss By category
  2. Tag - Allows you to specify Rss By Tags
  3. Aid - Allows you to specify Rss By Authors
  4. Description - Allows you to specify Rss (Html or Text)
  5. LimitWords - Allows you to specify Rss in text with limit words
  6. mid - It is module id.
  7. PortalId - It is portal id.
  8. tid - It is module's page id/tab id.

Note:- Rss Feeds can be customized

Text with Limit Words

Allows you to pass in a query parameter to RSS API URL.If text is passed as value for description then another optional parameter (LimitWords) can be passed as well.

Example: http://yoursite.com/DesktopModules/LiveBlog/API/Syndication/GetRssFeeds?mid=435&PortalId=0&tid=83&description=text&limitwords=150

This would render RSS with text description and limit to 150 words
