Setup checklist includes all the steps you need to setup your next store.
Before you start
- Gather Store Information
Start with basics such as your Store Name, Address, Email, and Phone Number. Also determine the primary or default currency to use along with your preferred timezone. It's also important to know if you will sell or ship across all countries or it will be limited to specific regions.
- Choose Extensions
Out of the box, Live StoreFront comes with PayPal Express, Fixed Shipping, and Fixed Tax extensions. It's important to identify which shipping and payment providers you want to use. Now is the time to look at other available extensions and see if you need anything else such as Analytics, Forex, or VAT Validation. Refer to each individual extensions' setup guide and gather required credentials.
- Review System Requirements
Make sure you meet the minimum requirements to install Live StoreFront and its Extensions. Each extension has its own minimum requirements.
Installation
- Install Live StoreFront
Installing Live StoreFront is easy; just like any other DNN Module. Refer to installation instructions for step by step walk-through.
- Install Extensions
Now would be the time to install extensions you may need such as Analytics, Payment, Shipping, Forex, and VAT Validation
Activation
- Create New Page
Let's create a new page on our DNN Site and add an instance of Live StoreFront module.
- Activate Or Continue Trial
You'll be prompted to either activate or continue trial after adding an instance of Live StoreFront module to a page.
Setup Wizard
- Setup Wizard
Live StoreFront will automatically launch a setup wizard. Be ready with your store information. You can always setup the payment and shipping extensions at a later time. A sample store can be setup in minutes with sample products, categories, manufactures, promotions, shipping, taxes, and sales data so you can quickly evaluate or demonstrate Live StoreFront.
Configure
- Payment
Now would be a good time to configure your payment extensions if you skipped them in Setup Wizard.
- Shipping
Now would be a good time to configure your shipping extensions if you skipped them in Setup Wizard.
- Tax
Now would be a good time to configure taxes if you skipped them in Setup Wizard.
Manage
- Products
You're all set to create new manufactures, categories, products, and promotions.
Test
- Test in Sandbox Mode
Use your payment extension sandbox mode option to test the configuration of your entire store including shipping and taxes.
- Test in Live Mode
Be sure to enable live mode in your payment extension option when you're ready to go live. Create a test transaction that you can immediately refund and cancel.
- Test Refunding & Canceling Orders
Be sure to refund and cancel your test transaction in live mode.
